The Granary, a new community of amenities and farmhouse-style homes in historic Milton, has intentionally reserved big spaces to inspire big ideas. Wander through 110 acres of untouched open space. Spread a yoga mat in lush green space — and free your mind. Feed your muse in the community gardens. Sip a craft beer. Genius will find you.
Of course, you can make the short trip to Delaware’s idyllic coastline — with more than 380 scenic miles — if you’re still looking for inspiration.
Once you have your big idea, The Granary has a spot for whatever comes next. Its small-town vibe ties everyone into the local scene with a new town center. You’ll find commercial space for creative enterprise. A craft park for community engagement. Plus, the day-to-day conveniences you need are right here.
The Granary has all facets of life covered — whether you’re moving into town to begin your next chapter or making Milton history with a business venture of your own. Here’s a closer look:
Drink Up Good Times. And Craft Beer.
What do you get when you combine craft beer with artisanal food? A hella good time! The Granary’s craft park will create an epic hub for community gatherings. Listen to a band slay it in the amphitheater. Play a pub game. Raise a glass of cold craft beer. Cheers come easily when you’re having fun. And the walk home with neighbors will be spent in good company.
Incubate Bright Ideas. And Grow Them.
The Granary has designated space for start-up enterprises. Imagine creating your own brewery. Or launching a business that complements Milton’s foodie scene. You can rent an outfitted space. Grow your venture at your own pace. Expand when you’re ready. Or stay at The Granary as part of our incubator environment.
Essentially Everything You Need. Close to Home.
The Granary is putting together the ingredients for a perfect day — all served in the new town center. Grab a steaming cup of coffee on the way to work. Pick up fresh produce at the grocery store around the corner. Detour your Saturday morning walk into the bakery. And support local retail shops. Or consider opening one of your own.
Milton Enterprise. History in the Making.
Colby Cox, the community developer and a fourth-generation Miltonian, was inspired by the town’s long-standing tradition of supporting cottage industries. For nearly two centuries, the town’s economy was bolstered by button making, holiday holly wreaths, agriculture, lumber and shipbuilding.
Today, Dogfish Head Brewery stands proudly on Village Center Boulevard. Local restaurants serve the day’s fresh catch. Boutique shops line waterfront streets. And it’s just a short hop from Milton to The Granary.
“My goal is to create three pillars of society — beer, food and music,” said Cox. The Granary’s new town center and walkable neighborhoods embody this meticulously crafted experience.
